I travelled from Charlotte, NC for the gala and was delighted that I did. Had a wonderful time. Kudos to Rhonda Crawley for making attendance possible for me and for all the hard work she put in. What a wonderful crowd -- and very good music.
I am honored and proud to be a part of the celebration in Calvert County, MD. This is something that will be a part of history and we will never forget it. It is definitely something to share with our children, grandchildren and the rest of the world! There's a lot of excitement here in the district and I'm sure the excitement is as abundant down in the southern part of Maryland. Thanks Rhonda for working so hard to make this happen! I'm looking forward to performing for all you lovely, hardworking people!

I plan to help my best friend, Rhonda Crawley, celebrate Mr. Obama's inauguration in grand style. While I am a native Washingtonian and live in DC, I can't afford the tickets for events in the city, or they are all sold out, or one simply won't be able to get around the city on January 20, so I'm looking forward to celebrating in Calvert County, MD!!!!

Diva Rose and Soundwave Band wrote their original song "Living the Dream" as tribute to the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King. They are produced by Round-the-Clock Productions, an independent recording label in Maryland.

FYI: Black Tie Required

To reveal some of the details, at 7:00pm we will begin the evening at the Beautiful Westin Annapolis Senate Ball Room. Photos will be taken on the red carpet as you enter to help you to savor this memorable event. This will give guest the opportunity to mix and mingle while waiters will serve drinks, and Hors’ D’ Oeuvres. You will also be serenaded by our featured artist “Tamara Wellons”. As we are wooed by her vocal finesse, there will be a silent auction of desirable objects to commemorate the event. The Grand Ballroom doors will be opened at 8:15 p.m. for dinner which will include a 4 course meal, gift bags, a program that will pay homage to President-Elect Barrack Obama and our history. After the message rings clear, Yes We Can! And Yes We Did! All attendees are invited to continue to celebrate the evening throughout all the venues. We want everyone to celebrate this momentous event and also contribute to this very worthy cause. Let us come together in style. There's no better way to celebrate the New Year, New Presidency and New Hope in the fight against sickness and disease.
